Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Energy & Renewables group in Plano, TX. The role focuses on land development for utility-scale wind and solar projects, including road design, hydrologic analysis, mass grading, and erosion control.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hydrology/hydraulic work, is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and can prepare technical reports and cost estimates. EIT/CFM are preferred; U.S. work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Ideal candidate has 2+ years of hydrologic and hydraulic experience.
• EIT certification preferred.
• CFM certification preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design portions of a project using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas to solve problems.
• Prepare reports with text and exhibits.
• Select materials and prepare specifications for project items.
• Develop design details and plan sets.
• Research and write objective summary reports for projects.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Conduct field observation, inspection, and data collection as directed.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team.
