Job summary

ERM, a global sustainability leader, seeks a Consultant, Civil Engineer for our Washington, DC office to plan, design, permit, and implement civil engineering projects in the renewable energy and power sectors. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions and support ERM's growth across North America and globally.

You will apply site civil design expertise, prepare permit packages, perform field data evaluations, and contribute to business

Qualifications

BS or MS in Civil Engineering; PE license or eligible.
2–3 years of site civil design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
Strong communication and regulatory navigation skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare site civil designs: earthwork, grading, access roads, erosion control, stormwater management.
Prepare permit packages: land disturbance, construction stormwater, and related permits; assist with land use permits.
Evaluate field data, perform calculations, prepare reports, cost estimates, schedules, and progress tracking.
Conduct field investigations, construction oversight, and QA activities; provide field exploration support for design parameters.
Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with clients and leads.
Assist clients in developing scopes, schedules, and budgets for proposed facilities; collaborate across disciplines.
