Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Substation Commissioning Manager of Renewable Energy to oversee on-site commissioning and startup for a portfolio of renewable power projects across the US. You will coordinate EPCs, OEMs, and operations teams, ensuring safety and adherence to PPA and interconnection requirements.

The role reports to the Project Manager / Commissioning Director and starts in Missouri or North Dakota with travel

Qualifications

5+ years experience on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
3+ years experience minimum working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction start up and commissioning
Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third-party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site
Ensure commissioning activities are performed with high quality and safety adherence
Report progress and manage on-site commissioning personnel and third-party vendors
Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control teams
Ensure project energization dates are achieved via coordination with Transmission Operators and ISOs
Oversee planning and scheduling related to commissioning and startup
