Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through its WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager for renewable energy projects. This remote role includes travel to multiple job sites as part of a 1-year contract (W-2).

You will manage commissioning, startup and turnover activities for wind, solar and battery storage facilities, reporting to the Commissioning Director. Responsibilities include coordinating EPC, OEM and operations personnel, ensuring safety and quality, and

Qualifications

• Electrical construction and commissioning methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
• SCADA integration and troubleshooting.
• E&I controls, instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting.
• Protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting.
• Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting.
• Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting.
• Review drawings for quality control and inspection.
• Schedule and planning understanding.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned projects' commissioning activities are performed with high quality and follow all safety policies.
• Coordinate and manage EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third-party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site for site commissioning and startup.
• Ensure compliance with all project contractual documents including Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility.
• Oversee commissioning personnel for multiple sites to ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Provide SME input into team strategic planning for safety, personnel, quality and efficiency improvements.
