Job summary

At DTE Energy in Detroit, an intermediate engineer will independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques to support operation and maintenance of company assets. You will collaborate with field staff and other engineers, perform data analyses, build models, and present findings to management to drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are required, with preference for substation, energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• 2+ years of job-relevant experience in engineering or utility settings.
• Experience with design, operation, or maintenance of utility assets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments and proposes solutions to problems.
• Collaborates with engineers and technicians on design, construction, and maintenance.
• Develops models and analyzes data to recommend process improvements.
• Provides field engineering support and stays current with technology trends.
• Reviews contractor deliverables for compliance with project specs.
