A growing renewable energy business is seeking an analytically strong early-career professional to support the execution of renewable energy tax credit transactions. This role offers hands-on exposure to project finance, tax credit transferability, financial modelling and cross-functional deal execution within a fast-moving commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the evaluation, structuring and execution of renewable energy tax credit transactions.
- Build, maintain and review financial models used to assess project economics, tax credit value and transaction outcomes.
- Review commercial agreements, transaction documents and supporting project information to identify key financial and tax considerations.
- Assist with tax credit buyer and seller diligence, including the organisation and review of financial, operational and legal documentation.
- Track transaction milestones, deliverables and open diligence items to help keep deals progressing towards closing.
- Prepare internal analyses, transaction summaries, presentations and decision-support materials for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal tax, finance, legal, accounting, commercial and project development teams, as well as external advisers and counterparties.
- Research renewable energy tax credit rules, market developments and transaction trends, and summarise findings clearly for the broader team.
- Support process improvements, data management and reporting initiatives as the transaction platform continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering or another highly analytical discipline.
- Up to two years of relevant professional experience; strong recent graduates will also be considered.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to understand complex concepts quickly.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and an interest in developing financial modelling capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and follow-through across multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analysis to different audiences.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change as transactions develop.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative and willingness to ask thoughtful questions.
- Interest in renewable energy, tax credits, project finance, capital markets or transaction execution; prior tax experience is helpful but not required.
