Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, seeks a Substation Commissioning Manager of Renewable Energy for a 1-year contract. You will oversee commissioning, start-up and turnover of renewable projects across the US, coordinating with EPCs, OEMs and operations teams.

Location flexibility includes Missouri, North Dakota, and other US sites as projects move. A strong background in electrical commissioning and safety is required to drive on-site

Qualifications

• Electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
• SCADA integration and troubleshooting experience.
• E&I controls installation, startup and troubleshooting.
• Protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting.
• Drawing review quality control inspection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commissioning activities for assigned projects are performed with high quality and follow all safety policies.
• Coordinate and manage EPC contractor personnel, OEM start-up personnel, third-party start-up contractors, and operations personnel on site.
• Ensure project reliability at turnover with minimal lost time in initial operation.
• Ensure compliance with project contracts including PPA and LGA deliverables with local utility.
• Coordinate with Transmission Operators and ISOs to meet energization dates.
• Manage onsite commissioning personnel for the client.
• Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control teams on the project.
• Provide progress reporting.
• Manage third parties and direct report teams, including scheduling and planning.
