Intertek in Cortland, New York seeks an Engineer to join the Renewable Energy & Energy Storage team. The role focuses on testing and evaluating electrical storage and renewable energy products to relevant safety standards, with reports and client communication as core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• No experience required; recent grads welcome.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Microsoft Office expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to define problems and engineering judgments.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Set up and operate EUT; perform and document repairs as needed.
• Perform testing of products in accordance with standards.
• Develop, set up, and follow established test plans.
• Compile test results and final report using a standard shell; submit for review.
• Communicate project status and test results to client, sales, and management.
• Provide on-going support to clients as needed.
• Identify and document engineering judgments within policy guidelines.
