Job summary

New Leaf Energy, Inc. is seeking a Structured Finance Associate to join our Power Plants division, supporting complex financial modelling and project diligence. This role offers a hybrid work environment with in-office presence in Lowell or Boston, MA.

You will manage data rooms, draft MIPAs, monitor CPs, and coordinate with DevCo and IPP teams to move projects toward closing, while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years in renewable energy project finance, investment banking, or corporate development.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills; VBA a plus.
• Understanding of tax equity concepts and project finance structures.
• Knowledge of renewable energy project development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial models to evaluate IRR, NPV, cash flows and sensitivities.
• Provide arm’s length pricing for DevCo projects considered for sale to IPP.
• Support due diligence on real estate, permitting, and interconnection.
• Manage checklists and schedules for diligence and transaction closing.
• Draft project-specific MIPAs and monitor CPs in financing agreements.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to ensure timely fund draws.
• Support capital transactions and data room management; respond to investor inquiries.
