Job summary

HireTalent is seeking an E&C Engineer II to support large-scale renewable energy projects, including wind and solar, providing electrical engineering expertise from design review through construction support and commissioning.

The role blends office and field work, with responsibilities across review of drawings, RFIs/NCRs, on-site support, and coordination with EPCs, project managers, and regulators (e.g., FERC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred).
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• 2–3 years of renewable energy project experience (wind, solar, or similar).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Familiarity with RFI and NCR processes and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Manage RFIs and NCRs and track responses.
• Ensure construction activities meet approved design specifications.
• Provide on-site engineering support during construction and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design conflicts and field issues.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, project managers, inspectors.
• Support regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., FERC).
• Document progress and communicate across multiple stakeholders.
