Job summary

Pivot Energy is seeking a Developer, Project Development to drive site diligence, permitting, and land lease amendments for solar and energy storage projects in the MD and VA markets. You will manage third-party consultants, prepare permitting documents, and coordinate with the Structured Finance team to ready projects for closings.

You will engage with landowners at lease discussions, oversee title curative work, and represent Pivot at local hearings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of renewable energy development experience.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Comfort presenting Pivot project concepts to decision-making bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead site diligence and permitting for renewable energy and energy storage projects in the MD and VA markets.
• Manage landowner lease terms and amendments for project development.
• Prepare and submit permitting documents for energy/industrial facility development.
• Organize and maintain project files, budgets, and records using Pivot’s processes (Procore & Salesforce).
• Manage third-party consultants and contractors to complete diligence items.
• Attend community events and participate in local policy groups to support market success.
• Coordinate with Pivot’s Structured Finance team to ensure projects are ready for financial closings.
