Pattern Energy offers an Investment & Risk Management Internship based in San Francisco. You will gain hands-on exposure to financial modeling, investment analysis, portfolio analytics across wind, solar, storage, and transmission investments.

Based in our San Francisco office, you’ll work with experienced team members on meaningful projects, develop practical finance and analytical skills, and learn how investment and risk considerations support strategic decision-making in renewables.

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in renewable energy, infrastructure investing, or energy markets.
• Familiarity with financial modeling, valuation, or corporate finance concepts through coursework, internships, or project experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to synthesize complex quantitative information and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

• Build, update, and analyze financial models for wind, solar, storage, transmission, and other energy investments.
• Evaluate project cash flows and investment returns, capital structures, operating assumptions, and key value drivers.
• Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess how changes in key assumptions may affect project economics and investment outcomes.
• Support the evaluation of development projects, acquisitions, and other investment opportunities.
• Help prepare clear, decision-oriented materials for management review.
• Support the development and enhancement of analytical tools used to evaluate portfolio performance.
• Analyze investment returns and risk concentrations across technologies, markets, and projects.
• Help translate financial and portfolio data into actionable insights for the team.
