Job summary

Rachel Contracting is seeking a Renewable Energy Foreman to lead field operations across the Midwest and Central US. The role involves grading, utilities, and civil work on industrial solar and wind projects, with travel to project sites as needed.

You will supervise a 5-10 person field crew, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor quality and schedules, and assist the Superintendent with procurement and documentation while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction.

• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Travel is required for this position based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Execute site grading for industrial, solar, and wind energy construction projects, including road improvements and maintenance, drainage systems, dewatering, soil stabilization, foundation excavation and backfill, utility installation, and other required civil infrastructure work.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to plan and implement work procedures, interpret project specifications, and coordinate construction phases to minimize delays and ensure timely project completion.
• Monitor and inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules, maintaining consistent communication with the Project Superintendent.
• Manage a field team of approximately 5-10 personnel, including equipment operators and laborers.
• Support the Project Superintendent in material procurement, schedule management, and project documentation to maintain efficient project execution.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure all personnel consistently adhere to project-specific safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Renewable Energy Foreman. Project assignments for this role are primarily located throughout the Midwest and Central regions of the United States and may require travel based on project needs.
