Deloitte France’s Modeling & Insights team seeks a Manager to lead a team of financial modelers focused on renewable energy transactions, market planning, and operational assessments within the Valuation & Modeling practice.

You will collaborate with tax, valuation, accounting, consulting, and regulatory experts to deliver timely insights, drive business development, mentor junior staff, and translate complex models into clear recommendations for clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related major.
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting or equivalent industry, with financial modeling and strategic planning.
  • 3+ years of financial modeling experience.
  • Experience in project finance modeling for solar, storage, wind, and renewables.
  • Experience in responding to proposals and delivering client presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of financial modelers to develop tools and insights for capital raising, transaction structuring & execution, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate with tax, valuation, accounting, consulting, regulatory, and business experts to deliver timely insights.
  • Participate in business development, sales and marketing of services, including pipeline development and engagement budgeting.
  • Develop and grow internal and external networks to generate sales opportunities.
  • Assist clients in structuring renewable energy transactions, including tax equity, debt sizing, and sponsor capital.
  • Analyze key drivers of renewable energy project economics and perform scenario analysis.
  • Provide end-to-end agile solutions throughout the investment lifecycle.
  • Leverage technical and commercial skills to communicate actionable outcomes from models and provide advice.
  • Coach junior practitioners and deliver training programs.

Our Modeling & Insights (M&I) team, a practice within our Valuation & Modeling practice, delivers clients the confidence to act on strategic decisions by transforming complexity into clarity through financial expertise, modeling tools, and strategic insight. Work you'll do

As a Manager on the Modeling and Insights team, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead a team of dedicated financial modelers as you develop tools and insights to answer clients most critical financial questions including capital raising, transaction structuring & execution, portfolio management and strategic planning
  • Coordinate with a wide range of subject matter experts within Deloitte, including tax, valuation, accounting, consulting, regulatory, and business experts to deliver timely and actionable insights to clients
  • Actively participate in business development, sales and marketing of our services including internal & external marketing, industry eminence, pipeline development, proposal development and engagement budgeting
  • Develop and grow both your internal and external network to generate sales opportunities
  • Assist clients in structuring renewable energy transactions, including tax equity, debt sizing, and sponsor capital
  • Analyze key drivers of renewable energy project economics, perform scenario analysis, and develop solutions to maximize client interests
  • Provide end-to-end agile solutions for clients throughout their entire investment lifecycle
  • Leverage a technical and commercial skillset to analyze, interpret, and communicate actionable outcomes from financial models, providing advice and support throughout engagements
  • Coach junior practitioners in their professional growth both throughout engagements through touchpoints and snapshots and through the development and delivery of training programs

The team Our Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related major
  • 5+ years of experience working for a consulting firm or equivalent industry experience, specifically in financial modeling, strategic planning, managing client relationships, and delivering client service work that exceeds expectations
  • 3+ years of financial modeling experience
  • Experience in project finance modeling, particularly in solar, battery energy storage systems, wind, and other forms of renewable energy
  • Experience in participating in the sales process, including responding to requests for proposals and delivering oral presentations
  • Experience developing executive presentations and quantitative analyses using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets and mitigate potential project risks
  • Experience using artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools and digital technologies to improve efficiency, support analysis, and enhance the quality of work products
  • Ability to travel up to 30% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
  • CPA, CFA, or other equivalent designation
  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau, VBA, Python, SQL, or similar tools to build finance-led models and analytics

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $144,600 to $265,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
