We are seeking a Investment Associate/ Financial Modeler with strong experience in renewable energy project finance and a proven track record in tax equity deal structuring. This role is critical in evaluating investment opportunities, building robust financial models, and supporting strategic decision-making for capital deployment. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, investment partners, and legal/technical teams to execute complex renewable energy financings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and audit complex financial models for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
• Structure and analyze tax equity partnerships (e.g., partnership flips, inverted leases, sale-leasebacks) including ITC/PTC monetization.
• Prepare investment memos, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning for internal committees and external investors.
• Support due diligence processes with legal, technical, and accounting teams.
• Benchmark financial assumptions against market data and provide insights on risks and returns.
• Partner with business development and project finance teams to evaluate pipeline opportunities and optimize capital stack (tax equity, debt, sponsor equity).

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance or investment banking, private equity, or tax equity syndication.
• Strong expertise in tax equity structures (partnership flip, sale-leaseback, inverted lease).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling (project finance, cash flow waterfalls, DCF).
• Solid understanding of ITC/PTC rules, depreciation schedules, and tax implications for renewable energy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
