Renewable Careers is expanding its New York team and seeking an entry-level engineer to support engineering work across the project pipeline. You will learn from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start, contributing to studies and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience, data analysis, and growth within a clean energy company that builds and operates assets nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and clean energy transition.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort with data and spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical topics.
• Initiative and curiosity; ownership and eagerness to learn.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Internship/co-op/project energy experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind, and BESS projects at all stages.
• Prepare energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence.
• Assist with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and grid operators.
• Review technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, with travel to project sites.
• Analyze operating data from the fleet and identify performance improvements.
• Contribute to tools, templates and standards used by the engineering team.

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across the United States. Our growing portfolio covers utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS), and as a long-term owner we stay with every project from the first feasibility study through years of operation. We are expanding our New York team and looking for an entry-level engineer who wants to build things that matter.

What you will do

• You will support our engineering work across the project pipeline, learning the business alongside experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
• Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage
• Preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assisting with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and grid operators
• Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors
• Supporting construction and commissioning activities, with travel to project sites
• Analyzing operating data from our fleet and identifying performance improvements
• Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team runs on

What we are looking for
