Renewable Careers in San Diego hosts a two-year Rotation Program for early-career professionals, offering three eight-month rotations across Development, Engineering & Construction, and Finance & Asset Management, ending with permanent placement.

You will contribute from week one with real deliverables, mentorship, and exposure to senior leaders while developing cross-functional fluency in the renewable energy lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonized grid.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, spreadsheets and new tools.
• Clear communication and the confidence to work with people across every part of a business.
• Adaptability: rotations mean new teams, new problems and a steep learning curve, three times over.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support live projects: analyses, models, applications, technical reviews and site visits across the country.

About us

We develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects across the United States, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). Because we keep our assets for the long haul, our teams work across the entire project lifecycle, from the first site study to decades of operation. Our San Diego office is the home base for a program designed to build our next generation of clean energy leaders.

The program

Our Rotation Program is a two-year, full-time position for early-career professionals who want to see the whole business before choosing a specialty. You will complete three eight-month rotations across our core teams, tailored to your interests and strengths:

• Development: site identification, permitting, interconnection and the commercial work that turns an idea into a buildable project
• Engineering & Construction: technical design, contractor management and the delivery of projects on the ground
• Finance & Asset Management: project finance, investment analysis and the commercial performance of our operating fleet
• You will finish the program with a permanent placement on the team where you and we see the best fit, carrying a network and a cross-company understanding that few people build in their first decade, let alone their first two years.
