Job summary

Renewable Careers in Philadelphia is seeking a motivated engineer to support our renewable project pipeline. You will learn from experienced engineers and take on real responsibilities from the start, preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations, and due diligence.

The role offers hybrid work from our Philadelphia office, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to the full project lifecycle across solar, wind and BESS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to simplify technical topics.
• Initiative and curiosity: take ownership, ask questions, learn quickly.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Internship, co-op or project experience in energy is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage.
• Prepare energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence.
• Assist with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and PJM processes.
• Review technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors.
• Support construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across the Mid-Atlantic.
• Analyze performance data from our operating fleet and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team uses.

What you will do

• You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
• Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage
• Preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assisting with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and PJM processes
• Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors
• Supporting construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across the Mid-Atlantic
