Job summary

Longroad Energy is offering a paid Development Intern position in San Francisco, CA for a 10–12 week summer program. The intern will support the Development team with project scheduling, milestone tracking, reporting, and data management, collaborating across GIS, engineering, and environment groups.

Eligible candidates are undergraduates in 4-year colleges with a 3.0+ GPA, pursuing energy-related majors, and possessing Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with proactive mindset and initiative.
• Strong written and organizational skills required.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency essential for data handling and reporting.
• Diligence in documentation and project tracking is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and updates of project schedules, milestones, and work plans.
• Track permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and development milestones; assist with reporting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly development reports, dashboards, and summaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for current project data.
• Maintain project records, data repositories, and documentation in company systems.
• Assist with mapping requests, project exhibits, and spatial data tracking.
• Prepare materials for permitting applications, stakeholder meetings, and reviews.
• Track actions from meetings and assist with follow-up coordination.
• Conduct research related to development activities and local requirements.
• Support improvement of project management, reporting, and document control processes.
• Collaborate with Development, GIS, Engineering, Environmental, Real Estate, and Transmission teams.
