Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 months continuous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environment.
• At least 6 months continuous work history within the past 2 years.
• Experience in rendering, or food processing preferred.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Ability to operate machinery and computerized control systems.
• Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Rehire eligibility: Minimum waiting period of 90 days; no more than 3 total periods of employment with Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing and grinding equipment (cookers, dryers, mills) according to production schedules
• Monitor and adjust process controls (temperature, flow, speed) for optimal performance
• Set up and operate grinding systems used in production
• Coordinate with receiving, production, and loadout teams to maintain workflow
• Load and ship finished products; verify quantities, specifications, and shipping documentation
• Perform quality checks (visual, moisture, odor) and support QA/HACCP programs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance and system resets (breakers, drives, controls)
• Operate forklifts, loaders, conveyors, and/or loadout equipment safely
• Record production, quality, and shipping data accurately
• Maintain clean work areas and follow all sanitation and safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members and report safety or operational concerns
