Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a Night Shift, Full-time team member in Renal Medical to deliver compassionate patient care. The role entails obtaining vital signs, monitoring intake/output, and performing phlebotomy under supervision while supporting daily living activities for patients.

Candidates should have a High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience; BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required, with Nurse Aide preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date required.
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience required.
• Note: licensure/certification can replace education or experience if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, charting patient data and reporting abnormal findings.
• Monitors and documents fluid intake and output for safe patient care.
• Performs blood draws following proper phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
• Provides direct patient care, including rounding with patients and assisting with activities of daily living.
