Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN seeks a full-time Day shift phlebotomy-oriented patient care teammate in Neurology. You will obtain vital signs, monitor intake/output, perform blood draws, and provide direct patient care including rounding and daily living assistance.

The role requires a current BLS certification within 30 days of hire; Nurse Aide is preferred. Education can be a high school diploma or equivalent, or one year of applicable experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High School diploma or equivalent OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire; Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs and reports abnormal findings.
• Monitors and documents input/output for patient safety.
• Performs blood draws following phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
• Provides direct patient care, including rounding and assisting with activities of daily living.
