Job summary

Lexington Renal Care is seeking an experienced RN Hemodialysis Nurse for a full-time role. You will provide skilled nursing care throughout dialysis, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The position requires current RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and preferably renal nursing experience. You will educate patients and families, document care, and participate in quality initiatives within a compassionate setting.

Qualifications

• RN license active in state of practice
• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• Renal/dialysis experience preferred
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Strong assessment and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis according to physician orders and policies.
• Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis and monitor vitals and condition.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments safely.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor dialysis equipment and respond to alarms and changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and treatments.
• Care for vascular access sites and report complications promptly.
• Promote infection prevention throughout treatment process.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing education.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
