Quality Collision Group, Brooks Motor Cars brand, in Oakland, CA, seeks an R&I Technician to safely remove, organize, and reinstall vehicle components per OEM procedures and repair plans.

You will work with body, paint, and parts teams to ensure proper fit and timely delivery, inspect for hidden damage, follow tool safety rules, and uphold a six-figure earning potential in select roles.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the collision repair industry.
• Hands-on experience removing and reinstalling automotive body, trim, lighting, and related components.
• Knowledge of vehicle construction, repair orders, OEM procedures, and proper fastener handling.
• Ability to identify hidden damage and communicate repair concerns clearly.
• Familiarity with electrical connectors, vehicle sensors, and ADAS precautions (preferred).
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and follow repair specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with body, paint, and production teams.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work around vehicles all day.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Remove and reinstall exterior and interior vehicle components, including bumpers, lamps, trim, panels, and related assemblies.
• Review repair orders and OEM procedures before disassembly and reassembly.
• Label, document, protect, and organize removed components, fasteners, and hardware by vehicle and repair order.
• Inspect removed parts for additional damage and communicate findings to the estimator or production team.
• Coordinate with body, paint, and parts teams to prepare vehicles for repair and refinishing.
• Reinstall components using appropriate tools, torque specs, and manufacturer procedures.
• Verify panel alignment, attachment security, fit, and basic component operation after reassembly.
• Identify operations involving electrical systems, sensors, or calibrations and coordinate with qualified personnel.
• Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and a clean, safe work area while meeting deadlines.

Job Summary The R&I (Remove and Install) Technician supports the collision repair process by safely removing, organizing, and reinstalling vehicle components before and after body and refinish repairs. This role follows approved repair plans and OEM procedures to protect vehicle systems, maintain parts accuracy, and ensure proper fit and function. The technician works closely with Body Technicians, painters, parts personnel, and production leadership to support efficient, high-quality repairs and timely vehicle delivery.

• Remove and reinstall exterior and interior vehicle components, including bumpers, lamps, trim, moldings, panels, and related assemblies as assigned.
• Review repair orders and OEM procedures before disassembly and reassembly.
• Label, document, protect, and organize removed components, fasteners, and hardware by vehicle and repair order.
• Inspect removed parts for additional damage and promptly communicate findings to the estimator or production team.
• Coordinate with body, paint, and parts teams to ensure vehicles are properly prepared for repair and refinishing.
