LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Zo-language interpreter to work from home in the United States. The role is an independent contractor for phone interpretation across multiple industries, including healthcare and government, with strict adherence to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

The position emphasizes on-demand interpretation, quick processing, and maintaining professional demeanor. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within a certified ASTM/ISO environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Zo and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
• Ability to assess regional and accent differences for LEP communication.
• Excellent listening and note-taking to maintain high interpretation accuracy.
• Must be able to work remotely from a quiet home-office environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render correct concepts and meanings per interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and politeness.
• Remain neutral and professional on calls, including emergency situations.
• Follow client instructions to meet expectations while respecting permissions.
