The ideal candidate brings strong z/OS knowledge, proficiency with debugging tools like XPEDITER/File-AID, and solid experience with batch processing and data management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mainframe development (COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 or similar).
• Strong understanding of z/OS or IBM mainframe environments.
• Experience with mainframe debugging tools such as XPEDITER or File-AID.
• Familiarity with batch processing, VSAM, and data management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems
• Write, test, and debug COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe-based code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues and performance bottlenecks
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• Support mainframe batch processing, job scheduling, and automation
• Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes
