Job summary

OpenEd invites part-time teachers to join a remote program that personalizes K-12 learning for students across the United States. You will provide guidance, monitor progress, and collaborate with families to support individualized education plans.

Offered hourly pay starts at $25 per hour, with orientation, ongoing training, and flexible scheduling. Ideal candidates can work from home, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with students and parents.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certification in Iowa with World Languages endorsement.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Review and grade student learning logs and provide timely, actionable feedback.
• Work synchronously with students in 1:1, small-group, or large-group settings.
• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in assigned courses.
• Create engaging lessons, activities, or learning opportunities.
• Tailor resources and support to meet individual student needs.
• Identify at-risk students and coordinate intervention.
• Communicate with parents to provide guidance and support.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teachers to share expertise and support students across the program.
