Job summary

OpenEd is seeking Iowa-certified teachers with a World Languages endorsement for a non-traditional, work-from-home role supporting students and families through personalized learning.

This part-time position emphasizes mentorship, flexible scheduling, and synchronous sessions with students, along with collaboration across the program. Hourly pay starts at $25, with orientation and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certification: Iowa, with a World Languages endorsement.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review and grade student learning logs and provide timely feedback.
• Work synchronously with students in 1:1, small-group, or large-group settings.
• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in assigned courses.
• Create engaging lessons, activities, or learning opportunities.
• Tailor resources and support to meet individual student needs.
• Identify at‑risk students and coordinate appropriate routes to intervention.
• Communicate with parents to provide guidance and support.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teachers to share expertise and support students across the program.
