Job summary

ProAssurance is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Underwriter II for Eastern Alliance, with remote work options in the Tennessee area. The role emphasizes sound underwriting decisions, collaboration with agency partners, and ongoing professional development in a dynamic environment.

You will analyze risks, issue quotations, and support critical profitability objectives while maintaining strong client and carrier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of insurance underwriting experience.
• Active pursuit of professional designations (CPCU, CIC, CRM, AU, ARM, AINS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document risks for new and renewal business within approved authority.
• Process quotations, policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and required documentation.
• Develop relationships with agents and clients through regular visits and communication.
• Support recovery initiatives and return-to-work guidelines with stakeholders.
• Prepare for and attend bi-monthly team meetings to discuss accounts and strategies.
• Review monthly reports and adjust actions to meet business objectives.
• Mentor assigned underwriter and participate in company projects and events.
