Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in Los Angeles seeks a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney for a fully remote in-house litigation role under the General Counsel. You will defend litigated workers’ comp claims before the WCAB, manage a full caseload from referral through trial, conduct research, prepare defenses, and appear virtually or in person as needed.

The ideal candidate has a California JD and bar admission, at least four years of legal experience (insurance industry preferred), and

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required with active California bar admission.
• Experience: minimum four years in legal practice; two years in insurance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Apply legal principles and techniques with advanced judgment.
• Perform legal research and provide timely opinions.
• Develop defense strategy and coordinate with Claims staff.
• Prepare and argue motions, briefs, and settlement documents.
• Represent the client in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
