Sedgwick is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to adjudicate complex Lost-time claims for CT, MA, NJ and VT jurisdictions. This role offers a flexible telecommuter arrangement and exposure to a global client base.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in claims management, strong negotiation skills, and licensing for VT preferred. Sedgwick emphasizes care, development, and a balance between autonomy and accountability across its diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business.
• Experience: 3 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: CT, MA, NJ, VT; VT licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process lost-time workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with claimant and client; report to excess carrier as required.
• Respond to directions timely and professionally.
