Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers’ Compensation to adjudicate complex claims on behalf of our clients, with remote flexibility and a Southeast focus.

You will analyze claims to determine benefits due, negotiate settlements, and maintain ongoing adjudication to meet service expectations and client requirements. A Home state license and 5 years claims experience are typical prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Education and licensing: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and benefits.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions promptly.
