Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Lost-time Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze claims for benefits due, handling adjudication for CT, MA, NJ and VT jurisdictions with licensed expertise. You will adjudicate claims, negotiate settlements and keep clients informed on progress and outcomes.

The role requires 3 years of claims management experience and a High School Diploma or GED, with Bachelor's degree preferred and licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification as applicable to line of business.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims to determine exposure and benefits due.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and coordinating directions.
