Job summary

PSI in New York City is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to manage a busy caseload and provide vigorous representation for injured workers. The role requires independent practice, strong advocacy, and mentoring support staff in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle hearings, depositions, and negotiations, ensure compliance with NY regulations, and collaborate with fellow attorneys to maximize client outcomes while maintaining open client communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral advocacy, legal writing, negotiation, and case management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Oversee a full workers’ compensation caseload from intake to resolution.
• Litigation & Advocacy: Represent clients at hearings, depositions, conferences, and settlements.
• Client Advisory: Maintain consistent client communication and provide clear guidance.
• Case Evaluation: Direct intake and assess new legal matters.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor paralegals and support staff.
• Legal Drafting: Prepare pleadings, motions, appeals, and legal documentation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to deadlines and New York State Workers' Compensation Board regulations.
• Collaboration: Work with fellow attorneys to build winning strategies.
