Job summary

CampusWorks seeks a Workday Consultant with strong Finance, HCM, and/or Student experience in higher education. This is a flexible, project-based 1099 consulting opportunity with remote work and occasional on-site engagements as needed.

You will collaborate with campus and vendor teams to assess processes, design improvements, and implement Workday solutions across Finance, HCM, and Student modules, while guiding knowledge transfer and workshops.

Qualifications

• Substantial Workday Finance, HCM, and/or Student expertise in a higher education setting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders as a trusted advisor is a plus.
• Experience with project management methodologies and/or process mapping software preferred.
• Experience with Reporting, Analytics, and/or Business Intelligence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with campus leaders and external vendors to assess processes and recommend improvements.
• Support compliance with state and federal grant requirements and institutional policies.
• Help institutions strengthen internal controls, improve reporting, and align operations with strategic goals.
• Guide colleges and universities regarding Workday Finance, HCM, and/or Student tenant optimization.
• Facilitate workshops, document business processes, and support knowledge transfer.
