Job summary

Alera Group is seeking a Workday Financials Account Center Lead to design, configure, and optimize accounting solutions across Finance, IT, and business stakeholders. You will drive end-to-end implementations and enhancements, ensuring data integrity and effective reporting.

The role requires deep Workday expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex transformations. Remote/hybrid work is available, with contract or full-time duration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of Workday Financials experience.
• Heads-on experience implementing and supporting Workday Account Center.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Experience with Workday Financial Management modules (GL, AP, AR, Banking, Revenue, Expense).
• Experience with Workday integrations, EIBs, and reporting tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
• Proven experience leading functional workstreams or implementation teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement projects for Workday Financials Account Center.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from Finance, Accounting, and operations.
• Design and configure accounting rules, transformations, derivations, and ledger impacts.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams for scalable accounting solutions.
• Manage integrations between Workday Financials, payroll, expenses, banking, and third-party apps.
• Perform solution testing, validation, and UAT; resolve defects.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and reconciliations for visibility.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to juniors.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Coordinate deployment activities and post-production support.
