Job summary

Southwest Airlines seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise wireless connectivity across a large, distributed environment. You’ll work with Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki technologies to deliver secure, scalable networks and support escalations.

The role permits voluntary remote work in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with occasional on-site presence at our Corporate Campus for training and meetings. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or similar fields or equivalent advanced level experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
• Install, configure and support network equipment.
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.
• Configure routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Recommend changes to improve network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements.
• Provide technical support to junior staff.
• Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
• May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
