Details:

A remote Wire Harness Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. To qualify, candidates need a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of engineering experience or an equivalent combination of degree and experience.

Wiring Design Engineer job duties:

1. Develop and maintain electrical wire harness detail, assembly, and installation designs in an aerospace environment.
2. Integrate and maintain critical electrical cable/wire harness designs, ensuring efficient system architecture throughout the vehicle.
3. Select proper materials and parts based on electrical and environmental properties, considering safety and build processes.
4. Follow and improve documented processes, specifications, and procedures for safe and quality design and manufacture of electrical components.
5. Analyze functional and physical requirements to develop integrated designs and system architecture.
6. Travel up to 25% or less.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experience with electrical harness design using Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Capital Logic software.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and determine solutions.
• Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external customers.
• Efficient time management and accurate design production.
• Quick learner, multitasker, flexible to evolving priorities.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors preferred but not required.

Preferred skills:

• Analysis skills for issue resolution and mitigation.
• 3+ years of experience with wire design tools like Siemens Capital Logic, Zuken E3, CADAM.
• Familiarity with NX, aerospace wiring standards, GD&T, ASME Y14.100, SAE AS50881, and ITAR compliance.

Additional information:
