Job summary

Hivelocity in Tampa, FL is hiring a Windows Systems Engineer to build, manage, and secure our Windows server environments. You’ll work with the team to keep systems available, troubleshoot issues, and support projects that improve how we work.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows Server environments, AD/GP/DNS/DHCP, patch management with WSUS, and supporting Microsoft 365 and Entra ID. You will automate tasks with PowerShell and maintain system documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Windows Server environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2019/2022/2026).
• Administer AD, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.
• Handle patch management and system updates using WSUS.
• Monitor server performance and availability; resolve issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including Exchange Online and hybrid identity.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripting.
• Maintain documentation for systems and configurations.
• Serve as escalation point for the help desk on complex issues.
• Follow security best practices and support compliance efforts.
