Job summary

Hivelocity in Tampa, FL is hiring a Windows Systems Engineer to build, manage, and secure our Windows server environments. You’ll work with the team to keep systems available, troubleshoot issues, and support projects that improve how we work.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows Server environments, AD/GP/DNS/DHCP, patch management with WSUS, and supporting Microsoft 365 and Entra ID. You will automate tasks with PowerShell and maintain system documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Windows Server environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Job description

We are hiring a Windows Systems Engineer in the Tampa, FL area. As our Windows Systems Engineer you’ll build, manage, and secure our Windows server environments. You’ll work closely with the rest of the company to keep systems available, troubleshoot issues, and support projects that improve how we work.

What You’ll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2019/2022/2026)
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups
• Handle patch management and system updates using WSUS
• Manage SPLA licensing agreement and ensure accurate reporting
• Monitor server performance and availability, and resolve issues before they affect users
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes and test restores regularly
• Support Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD), including Exchange Online and hybrid identity
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell scripting
• Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations
• Serve as an escalation point for the help desk on complex issues
• Follow security best practices and support compliance efforts

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in Windows Server environments
