Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking West African Dialects Interpreters for remote work with on-call court assignments. The role requires interpreting across dialects such as Atlantic, Mande, Kwa, Volta-Niger, Hausa, Yotuba, Igbo, Akan, Wolof, and Fula, while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Interpreters will provide real-time and consecutive interpretation as required for court hearings and related proceedings, with on-site duties as needed by the courts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years of court interpretation, immigration, trafficking hearings.
• Native or near-native fluency in English and West African dialects.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication in real time, preserving meaning and tone.
• Clarify non-verbal cues and culture-specific concepts when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all interactions.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and reports.
• Comply with laws, policies, and codes of conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
