Job summary

Lifetime Benefit Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Documentation Specialist to draft, review, and edit plan documents and SPD/SBC materials. You will support internal clients on benefit design, compliance, and documentation.

Responsibilities include preparing Form 5500s, assisting with filings, maintaining client files, and coordinating with internal teams. Strong ERISA knowledge and attention to detail required; remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of claims processing experience including coding (ICD9/10, CPT) and claim adjudication.
• Knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and Health Care Reform.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn welfare benefit plan regulatory requirements and stay updated.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, and edits welfare benefit plan documentation per standards.
• Prepares Form 5500s and assists clients with filing and questions.
• Provides clients access to non-discrimination testing resources and assists with tests.
• Maintains client files, billing records, and information.
• Coordinates plan design implementations with internal departments and attends meetings as needed.
• Acts as a resource on interpretation of welfare plan documentation.
• Maintains records of all communications and materials related to plan design.
