Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a part-time (0.4 FTE) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Weight Management. The role involves providing clinical care to patients, both in-person and via telehealth, across a large Minnesota program with a collaborative team of surgeons, physicians, dietitians and nurses.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education, with duties expanding to program development and coordination with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant program.
• 1-2 years experience in a primary or specialty clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients as part of a physician/nurse team.
• Completes comprehensive patient assessments and determines diagnosis and treatment.
• Orders and interprets diagnostics with attending physician; prescribes medications, treatments and equipment.
• Educates patients and collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to manage chronic illness.
• Participates in program development and liaison with outside agencies as needed.
