Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a weight management program in Minneapolis. This .4 FTE APP position covers weekend day shifts remotely, with no on-call requirements.

The role supports both medical and surgical weight loss programs, collaborating with a large multidisciplinary team across Minnesota locations. Qualified candidates have a Master’s degree and appropriate licensure, with 1–2 years in primary or specialty care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required: NP or PA program completed.
• Licensed RN or NP/PA licensure required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients as part of a physician/nurse team in designated specialty.
• Works in inpatient and outpatient settings; may work independently or with a treatment team.
• Educates patients and coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Orders and interprets diagnostics in collaboration with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications and therapies per scope of practice.
• Participates in program development and liaison with outside agencies.

Education

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
