Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for post-acute care. The role is part-time with weekend coverage and remote work potential. An active Tennessee PA-C license is required prior to start, and DEA registration is expected or obtainable.

Ideal candidates have experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care and possess strong communication skills, patient-first mindset, and teamwork. Training and mentorship are available to both new grads and experienced providers.

Qualifications

• Active PA-C license in Tennessee required.
• Weekend schedule with on-call coverage.
• Experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care.
• DEA registration or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients medical records
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
• Oversee patients’ overall health
• Promote good health practices
• Other duties as assigned
