Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for post-acute and skilled nursing care in Michigan. This part-time role offers a weekend-focused schedule with potential for one weekend day and competitive daily pay.

As a PA-C you will diagnose, treat, and guide patients, perform exams, order tests, prescribe meds, and collaborate with physicians and staff. Training and mentorship are available; all experience levels welcome.

Qualifications

• PA-C license or eligibility to obtain
• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date
• Interest in geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and create treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
