Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a part-time weekend role in a post-acute care setting. You will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, delivering patient care and guiding clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• Current PA-C certification and IL license to practice.
• DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
• Experience in geriatrics or post-acute care preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and manage patient care in a skilled nursing facility.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and create treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
