Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. seeks a Human Services Call Center Call Screener (Part-Time Weekends) to support NH youth safety from a remote home office. The role involves handling calls, documenting reports, and providing referrals while adhering to DCYF rules.

Weekend shifts Friday–Sunday with about 15–20 hours weekly; remote training with daytime NH DCYF staff for up to 80 hours is required on weekdays. A quiet, confidential workspace is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 courses or 36 credit hours in social work, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, behavioral science, human services, or related field.
• Associates degree in a human services related field with two years of experience at/above a paraprofessional level.
• Must have Microsoft Outlook/computer proficiency.
• Must complete regulatory training and pass reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, faxes, and emails within five minutes of receipt.
• Log contacts in NH’s Bridges system and coordinate with supervisors.
• Provide information and referrals according to DCYF guidelines.
• Assist in dispatching statewide assessment teams for emergencies.
• Complete required training and access on-call services as needed.
• Maintain a quiet, confidential workspace.
