Job summary

The University of New Mexico's Enrollment Management Reporting Team (EMRT) seeks a skilled Web Designer to create, maintain, and enhance websites for the Registrar, Admissions & Recruitment, and Financial Aid offices.

You will design pages, implement content, and code with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP while ensuring accessibility and a mobile-friendly user experience. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to plan content and deliver engaging web experiences.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with responsive web design across devices.
• Experience administering websites via cPanel or similar hosting panels.
• Experience with Cascade CMS or other enterprise CMS.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.x and accessible web design.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data.
• Experience with web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Experience using Siteimprove for QA and governance of websites.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web-based content.
• Create, edit, organize, and adapt content for effective online presentation.
• Develop web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and related technologies.
• Maintain website structure, templates, links, images, and databases to ensure current content.
• Apply accessibility, usability, navigation, performance, and visual design standards.
• Research emerging web technologies and trends and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot website issues and resolve technical problems.
• Develop layouts and content for new website sections, features, and initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze website traffic and prepare reports as needed.
• Manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities independently and in teams.
