City of Aurora Water seeks a dedicated Water Service Locate Technician to identify and mark underground utilities and support safe excavation practices. You will work with the Water Service Locate team, using tablets, maps, and field data to document findings and communicate with excavators and contractors.

The role is full-time and remote-friendly, with hourly pay ranging from $24.38 to $30.47. Requirements include a high school diploma and a Colorado driver license; training is provided, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience or equivalent; market study.
• Colorado Driver License with good driving record.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret utility maps/prints to identify underground utilities.
• Use mobile tablet to receive, document and close out excavation notices.
• Effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel.
• Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities.
• Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to all locates completed.
• Receive and respond to excavation notices during normal and after hours.
